Sacramento Food Link, Trader Joes, and Campbell Soup are just a few of our many generous supporters. Using the van owned by the Food Closet, volunteers travel around Sacramento on a specific schedule to receive whatever is available for our clients. Food items are loaded and then taken back to our Food Closet for either immediate distribution or dry storage for future use. In the Fall, KCRA organizes the Kids Can food drive throughout Sacramento County. Schools can designate their collections for a specific Food Pantry. SSIP Food Closet receives donations from as many as 37 schools! |
